CLIENT B
1 / 2 / 3

We found that:
farmers were all fully aware of the clones, but none were
willing to experiment with a product of dubious origin and
manufacture. The health of their crops was their whole life
and they could not see saving some small amount of money
on the fungicide if the potential downside meant the loss of
their entire harvest,
distributors claimed they would not carry the clones not just
because they had specific agreements with the manufacturer
of the popular brand, but because they could not determine
whether any of the clones were sufficiently reliable as to
be able to recommend them to their long-term clients,
the farmers, and
distributors who did carry the clones were new to the business
and had few loyal customers.
