Isn't it more cost-effective to have junior executives
or junior consultants assist with the more mundane client
tasks? Why do senior consultants have to do almost all the
project work?
The only client-related tasks which could conceivably be considered
to be 'mundane' are those administrative chores usually associated
with project execution e.g. generating invoices, ordering
supplies for a project, large-scale photocopying. These are
therefore, handled by administrative assistants or 'secretaries'.
All other project tasks are more effectively handled by skilled
and experienced professionals who then don't have to double-check
a junior' assistant's initial efforts. ThreeSixtyOne
doesn't require its consultants to justify their
workweek through time-sheets and thus, "revenue efficiency
through (client-)billable hours" is not an issue. We
also don't have anyone on staff who find the occasional, menial
office task beneath them.
What
is the significance of our name, ThreeSixtyOne?
When the idea to set up a consultancy with high standards
first came up, the founders and the main shareholders played
with a variety of names. They included those names which were
ordinary (So-and-so Associates), those which were obtuse (BroadDaylight
) to the downright frivolous (PressureCuff).
